Destin Commons
According to most on TripAdvisor, the first is Destin Commons, the “number one mall in the area,” according to most on TripAdvisor. They also call this little shopping zone the “best lifestyle center of Fort Walton Beach.” It’s no secret that Fort Walton Beach locals admire this heavy-commerce multiplex for its plethora of retail brands, dining venues, and more.
They’re open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (except for Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Like most medium to large, open-air retailers, they feature their very own Guest Services office, should you have any further questions.
At Destin Commons, you’ll find all kinds of well-known brand names for all your shopping needs. Get some new clothes at American Eagle, pick out an extraordinary bestseller from Books-a-Million, or get a new pair of shoes from Foot Locker. You can also browse local brands like the Innerlight Surf Shop, Bella Vita Boutique, and La Belle Day Spa and Salon. Check out their AMC theatre, too, to catch a quick flick after a full day of walking around.
Guest Services can answer most questions about entertainment options, food venues, pricing for events or event rentals, and even parking validations. Speaking of which, Destin Commons holds over 2,000 places to easily park any small to large-sized car, with 100 of those spots having hourly meters. For these, you can quickly pay with change or a credit card. On weekends after about 6 p.m., meter parking is free.
Silver Sands Premium Outlets
This one’s another you can visit any day: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (or 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday). Pick a time and make it happen! There’s plenty to do here as well, such as dropping in for clearance sales happening at over 110 stores. Most sales also feature up to 65% off certain items. You can also enlist here as a VIP shopper to determine when the best deals hit.
Last January, this outlet mall celebrated over 30 years of business, with its “Cheers to 30 Years” event. It took place from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day and featured full markdowns on almost every type of item in each store. Countless families, couples, and even single shoppers went wild with their spending and came home with full bags! After all, these kinds of events only happen once, but when they do, they make sure to feature them on their Store and Center Happenings Page. Check it often!

Shoreline Village Mall
This place gets its kicks from keeping you entertained; that’s how it keeps its lights running every single day. When you’re entertained, everyone wins, and here’s how it happens — your jaws will drop to the floor. You’ll look at all the vast scope of 100% organic bamboo towels and entirely original Turkish bathrobes and wonder why you didn’t shop here sooner. Lunara Gifts is the name, and it’s just one excellent little shop among dozens here.
Other shops to watch are Istanbul Home, Find Your Feet, and Rain Dance. You can also spot multiple universal ATMs throughout the mall for easy convenience. Get that money out and ready to spend, because vintage shops like the Queen Mary Couture sell all kinds of apparel. It’s one of the pricier stores around but well worth it; the accessories and clothing here are made quite sturdily and built to last. The fabric and materials behind everything are only the best.
